Ever come across negative attitudes, fear, irrational hatred, harassment or violence because someone thinks you are lesbian, gay, bi or transgender? This is homophobia and it is never okay.

The good news is that you are not alone, you have rights, and discrimination is often unlawful.
If you think you are experiencing homophobia, biphobia or transphobia get in touch with a GASP worker for a confidential chat.

Standing Out for Safe and Inclusive Schools

The Stand Out movement is about students and school staff working together to create safe and inclusive schools for everyone, by challenging homophobia and transphobia, and by celebrating diversity.

Many Geelong schools have Stand Out groups doing exactly this:

'Stand Up, Stand Out is aiming to create a safe and supportive environment for everyone at Northern Bay College... regardless of gender or sexuality.'

'Stand Out Bellarine aims to create a safe school environment for people of all sexualities and genders by raising awareness of the impact of discrimination and by joining together to celebrate our diversity and freedom.'

Do you want to STAND OUT against homophobia and transphobia in your school?

GASP offers training and support to help schools in the Geelong region create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Contact us for more information.
