What is GASP?

Are you gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, gender diverse, intersex or just not sure?

GASP is Geelong’s safe and inclusive space for young people aged between 12-25.

We Are: A place to make new friends

GASP offers a number of social and support groups, which meet in central Geelong . We talk about our experiences, have fun and get information and advice.

If you are interested in joining a GASP group please phone 5272 4688 and ask to speak to a GASP project worker. We are available Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

"GASP is a great way to meet other people, get support and get inspired!"

We Are: A place for support

If you need to talk and be heard, we offer one-on-one counselling. For more information, please contact us.

We're also available for a confidential chat if you think you are experiencing homophobia, biphobia or transphobia.

We Are: Supporting the community

We offer a range of services for schools and organisations in the Geelong region, including:

  • Training for staff on the health and well being of LGBTIQ young people;

  • Support for schools around gender and sexuality, and how to develop a whole-school approach to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment;

  • Secondary consultation;

  • Training for service providers to help build capacity and develop strategies for LGBTIQ inclusive practice.

To find out more about what GASP has to offer and how we might be able to support your organisation, please contact us.

The GASP project is an initiative of the City of Greater Geelong’s Youth Development Unit.
